We love to color!

Sorry its been a while since I posted last. Things have been busy lately. Nothing exciting happening, just lots to do. We have been enjoying the warm weather and Justin has been grilling all of our dinners outside. Yeah for spring! I think it is going to be 51 tomorrow though, oh well. I really wish we could get our backyard in, but now there is a legal dispute with the farmer that owns the land behind us. We were told our lot went back about 4 feet into his field, but he says we don't. This is the case for a whole bunch of houses on our street. So, until it is resolved no one can put fences up or disturb his property at all. But there is some good news, the lot on the corner next to us sold and they should start building soon. I can't wait to meet our neighbors. I have been busy keeping the girls entertained as usual and we have been doing a lot of coloring lately. I posted some pics to show how much they love it. Their uncle Matt got them the big princess posters and they love to work on them. Even Joslyn likes it. She is getting to be so big like the other girls. She still refuses to walk, but she has started to say a few things. She says the normal mama and dada, but she now says "baba" "all done" and "Uh oh" It is super cute. Taylor and Ellie are also cute as can be and aside from the occasional fight, they have been having a lot of fun playing together. Their favorite game these days is "Enchanted" They love to sing the songs from that movie and dance around. Today Taylor was telling Ellie to look for Pip. Taylor sings "How does she know" really well. I have a video of it, I will try to learn how to post that. Anyway I better get back to the girls. Don't forget the Jazz tonight, I slept through the entire last game and I feel bad, so tonight I will be cheering louder than usual.

Haircut

The other day Taylor Lynn told me she was tired and that she wanted to take a nap. I told her she should go lay down. The other girls were already asleep so I decided to take a nap also. When I woke up to check on her, this is what I found. I thought she went to sleep in her bed, but I guess the laundry basket looked more comfortable!

On Tuesday Justin took the girls home for me around 2:00 so I could go to the dentist. Since I had a little time to myself I decided to cut my hair. Then I went to work to finish up some things and then I was able to go grocery store by myself. It was a very nice afternoon. Justin is the best and I appreciate all he does for me. This picture of me isn't the best especially since I had been out all day and my make up had worn off. Oh well, I'll take a better one later.

Today was a good day too. We just got back from the doctor and the baby is doing great. We scheduled the big ultrasound for May 23rd. I will be 20 weeks and they will be able to make sure everything is okay with the baby. We will also find out that we are having another girl, I'm sure. I am happy with all girls and Justin doesn't want to get his hopes up. We talked about adopting kids last night and I am sure Justin will get his boy one way or another. Anyway, life is wonderful and I feel like the luckiest most blessed woman in the world!!

Go Jazz

Our three girls in the bath. They are almost too big to bathe all together. I try to get it done all at once because it is quite a chore. Aren't they cute??

This is Justin in our hotel room waiting for me to get ready to go to dinner. He looks like he is having a great time, right?

This is our yummy room service breakfast. We also had them deliver sparkling cider and chocolate covered strawberries the night before, it was so fun!

Well, we are all recovering from colds, especially Ellie and Joslyn, but other than that we are doing alright. We had a great weekend. Justin and I had a great time on our little getaway to Salt Lake. We stayed at the Marriott city center (where we had our wedding reception). We ate dinner at a nice Italian place at the gateway and then we enjoyed the peace and quiet. On Saturday we shopped around for some dinning room chairs and other furniture. We basically went to the stores that are hard to look around with the girls. It doesn't sound very exciting, but it was so nice just spending time together. Thank you so much to Mom and Dad for babysitting the girls!! You are the best. The girls love it there and they always have so much fun. I think it is mostly because my mom lets them eat endless amounts of candy! I am so lucky to have my family close by, well pretty close. This week is going to be busy with us we have dentist appts. Doctors appts, work meetings and then I work on Friday. I haven't worked in a month, so I am kind of looking forward to that. But, who knows, they probably won't need me again. And actually I wouln't be that sad about it. Okay, I need to get back to the jazz game. Love to all! GO JAZZ!!!!

We have spring fever and we would love to get started on our backyard, but they have yet to build houses on either side of us. We have to wait until they are built later this year to put up a fence and put in sod. We are kind of bummed about it because I would love to have a place for the girls to play, but oh well. So, last Sat we decided to put in a temporary garden where our grass will be. It was a lot of fun and Taylor had a good time with Daddy. The other girls weren't so interested, but we all had fun enjoying the spring weather. Hopefully, we will have a good turn out this year! Ellie is still a little sick, but we had a good time today at Target. We went to get a few things, including prizes for the chore chart we made to help the girls do some basic chores. Taylor is at the age where she loves to help out, so I am going to take advantage of it. The girls are really excited to go to grandma's and spend the night tomorrow. My parents are being so nice and watching the girls while Justin and I have a much needed romantic getaway. We are just going to Salt Lake, but it will be so much fun! Hopefully I won't miss the girls too much, I do have a problem with that. I will let you know.

Family pics

On Sunday we decided to take a few family pictures. It only took 4 or 5 tries to get this one. At least everyone is looking in the general direction of the camera. I have to say, I have a pretty cute husband and beautiful girls. Taylor also wanted to model her new Belle dress. She loves dressing up. Ellie got a Sleeping beauty dress, but she wasn't too excited to show it off. Yesterday was so warm that we went to the park and played. Later the girls wanted to have a tea party on our little deck. I gave them real oreo cookies to eat out there and they thought they were in heaven. Today is so windy we can't even go outside, and it is cold again. Ellie is also pretty sick today, I hope she feels better soon. If you can leave a comment so I know that someone is actually reading this. I kind of feel like I am talking to a brick wall. Anyway all is going well, I have some really cute pics of Taylor and Justin planting our garden that I will post soon!

I passed!!

Well, thankfully I passed the certification test today and I am relieved it is all over. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It was fun to learn some new things and review others. I really do love being a nurse, especially a pediatric nurse. It has been so good for our family, and even though my career is on the back burner right now, I love having it as kind of a hobbie. As much as I love my job, I wouldn't trade staying home with my kids for anything!!!! I missed them so much while I was in class. Justin suprised me and came home early today, so we decided to take the girls to Chuckecheese's. It was fun, just a little crowded. Taylor loved it and despite what you see in the pictures, Ellie had a fun time too. Joslyn was just happy to sit at the table and eat lots of pizza! We don't get out much all together, so it was a lot of fun. It was also great because the kids wore themselves out and went right to bed when we got home. Enjoy the pictures!

New Shoes

Taylor and Ellie today before Taylor left for preschool. Taylor wanted to show off her new shoes. She dressed herself today and she did a pretty good job. She loves preschool and is learning so much. Ellie of course is in her usual attire: a princess costume. I had to order some new ones from Disney the other day because they are so wore out. Ellie always has to be dressed like a princess! I also wanted to show off the beautiful fireplace mantel that Justin built us. I love it and it looks great. He is so talented.

This is Taylor and her fake smile, she is such a model.

Joslyn wanted to get into the pics too, so she crawled up my lap while I was taking these pictures. She has the most beautiful eyes! And if you hadn't noticed before, she looks just like Justin. This week will be a little crazy for us. I have to go to a special training class for two days. Luckily I have great family that are going to watch the girls for me. I am kind of nervous about the class because I have to pass a couple of tests when its done. I am getting a Pediatric advanced life support certification. I am excited about it, I already took the adult version when I worked in the ICU. You basically learn how to run a code if one of the patients arrests. Not that I would ever want to do that, but it is good to have the skills if I need them. I hardly ever do work related things, so it will be fun. Today we are going to have lunch with Justin after preschool so I better get the house cleaned! Love to all.

My best prince ever!

Taylor and Justin have been playing Sleeping beauty all day. They went outside and played in "the forest" and did some yard work. Then they came in and played in Taylor's room. I overheard Taylor say, "Daddy, you are my best prince ever!" It was so cute. Then she said "you can be my prince forever and ever." Justin said thank you and then explained to her that one day she would have another prince that would be her husband. She frowned and you could tell she didn't like this idea very much. Later I told her that Justin was my prince and that she had to share him with me. She said, "But mom can't you just let me have him because I need a prince Phillip to play sleeping beauty with."

The girls have been loving dental floss lately, they ask for it like it is candy. They kind of know how to use it, but mostly they just like to suck on it. The other day I was in the other room and I came into the living room and saw the girls like you see in the picture. They had pulled almost all of the floss out! They are crazy sometimes.

Joslyn has begun to climb out of her high chair. She thought it was pretty funny!
We are so blessed to have such beautiful, wonderful girls. Today has been a great day. I love conference weekend. I love listening to all the talks and I always feel so uplifted as I listen to the apostles and prophet. It helps renew me and gives me strength to keep on taking care of my family. It also gives me the reassurance that it is all worth it. Love to all!

Ellie doing one of her favorite things, eating ice cream!

Taylor relaxing and enjoying an ice cream bar.

Taylor in her "swan princess" dress at Grandmas.
Today has been a good day. We went to playgroup in the morning and the girls had a great time playing in our friend's sandbox. Ellie of course got sand everywhere, even in her mouth. There were Krispy kreme donuts for the snack and before I noticed Ellie almost ate all of them! I was so embarrassed! I have to watch her so close. Joslyn is getting a bunch of teeth right now, so she is having a hard time, but she is pretty tough. Taylor just brought out her candy land castle game, so I better go!
