big brother Noah

Noah seems to be so grown up these days. He has started talking so much and he is also coming along in his potty training. He is doing better at church and hasn't beat anyone up lately. Even though he gets into a lot of things, he really is very sweet. Love him! Doesn't he look big in these pictures?

Andrew update

Andrew turned 10 months old yesterday! I really can't believe it! He is growing up too quickly. I took him to the doctor on Saturday for a checkup and he is so big. He weighs 20 lbs and is 30.5 inches tall. He is in the 50% for weight and off the charts for his leg nth. I knew he had a growth spurt since he has to wear 12-18 month old pants. He is so close to crawling, he gets on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth. He gets around though, rolling, scooting, and pushing himself backwards until he gets stuck under the couch. He is so much fun and I am so blessed to be his mommy. I am still wondering why I am so lucky to be given all of these wonderful children to raise. They are a joy! I guess I have realized how quickly they really do grow, and I am trying to cherish every little moment I have with them. Don't get me wrong, they aren't angels, but they are worth the work.

Happy Birthday Joslyn Michelle

I can't believe that my little baby girl is 4! We had such a fun time celebrating her birthday because she is just the cutest little thing! Joslyn is such a joy to us. Don't get me wrong she has the Sorensen stubborn gene, but she is so content and happy and playful too. She loves to play pretend in her room or "read" books to herself. She is also a cuddle bug and comes into sleep with us every night. I love to cuddle and sleep with her even though she steals most of the room in our bed. We had a couple of celebrations for her birthday, one at my parents and one at home. Unfortunately, Joslyn's actual birthday was kind of overshadowed by Noah's trip to the hospital to get a battery out of his stomach. But Joslyn understood that Noah needed me to be with him and she didn't complain one bit. Our wonderful ward brought us dinner and our RS president even made Joslyn a Barbie cake. It was so thoughtful. It really made Joslyn's day special. We love our little Joss boss and I wish she would slow down and stay little for a while longer.

Little bud

Here are some cute pictures of my little Andrew. He is such a joy! I just want to cuddle him and eat him up all of the time. He makes all of us so happy and I think he is growing up too fast!

Science Project

Taylor had her first science project this year. It was really fun, and Tay was so excited about it. She decided that she wanted to test all kinds of bubble bath and see which one made bubbles that lasted the longest. So, we bought a few different kinds, tested them out and shared the results. Can you tell by the pictures which one worked the best?

Curls

Taylor loves to do her hair, let me rephrase that, Taylor loves for me to do her hair. Her favorite is when I blow dry it strait and then curl it with the curling iron. I was telling her about when I was little and wore curlers in my hair at night, and she really wanted to try it. So we found some at the dollar store and tried them out. Taylor looked so cute with them in her hair! It was even cuter after we took them out for church. You would think I would take a picture of that, but I didn't! I know, I know, my brain doesn't function very well. I haven't been taking very many pictures at all recently. I think it is because I am so far behind on things like my blog and my scrapbooking, that I don't want to make it worse. Someday I will have time for that stuff. I better start taking pictures again, or I won't remember anything!

Little hoopsters

Sadly, this is the only picture I took of Taylor's basketball games. She just finished playing in a league called, "little hoopsters." It was a bunch of boys and Taylor, actually I think there were 4 girls. It was mostly a training thing, where the kids learned the basics of basketball. Taylor was really excited about it and I think she learned a lot. Because it was a league of boys, she didn't get much time with the ball during games, but the coach made sure she got to practice. I wish I had more pictures of her playing, but my time at the games was taken up chasing the other kids around. Justin did make it a few times, which made things a lot easier. She is now taking a break from sports until soccer in the fall. I will hopefully get more pictures of that!

we had a dog

A while back Matt brought us a suprise, a dog! I have said for years that I would never have a dog because I already have enough to take care of. So, you can imagine how happy I was when Astro arrived. Matt promised that he would care for Astro and assured me that he was potty trained. Then Matt went to work all day long every day and the dog was not potty trained. After a week we decided that Astro should be able to live with a family that had more time for him. So, Matt found another loving home for him. The kids were a little sad to see him go, but they got over it. Someday we will have a dog, but for now I have enough poop to clean up.

Ellie has moves

One of our favorite family activities is playing the Michael Jackson game on the Wii. It is a dancing game and the kids really love it. This video is back when we first bought it in December. I love Ellie's moves.

Little Andy is getting big.

I mentioned in my last post that Andy is now 9 months, which is crazy to me. These last few months have really been a blur... So Andrew is now starting to move around more, not crawling yet, just scooting and rolling around. He sits really well and is feeding himself snacks. He loves to eat real food, but also is still really into nursing. He loves to be around his brother and sisters and really is a pretty mellow guy. I love the pictures of him falling asleep during his dinner. I guess he was just really worn out that night. He is such a cute baby and I just feel so lucky to be his mommy. I am enjoying it so much!

Let's Dance

I know I have been neglecting my blog lately, and now I feel like I can't catch up on everything that has happened lately. I really can't believe it is March. I can't believe that Andrew is nine months old! I can't believe that Joslyn is 4! I can't believe I have to register Ellie for kindergarten this month. Life goes by too quickly. Everything is going well, I have been working a little more lately because the hospital is full of sick kids, but it hasn't been that bad. I have gotten to know some of the nurses better and made some new friends. In fact, we all went out to dinner last night and had a lot of fun. I work with some really great people! I feel so blessed to have the work situation that I do. Noah hasn't done anything crazy in the last few days like swallow a battery and require hospitalization! He did throw a toy truck at my eye yesterday and it left a mark. He is becoming pretty good friends with the time out corner. So, these pics are from a while ago, of course, but the girls are always dancing and putting on their ballet clothes. They do take ballet classes on Mondays, and they love it. They have a recital coming up in May and all three girls will be dancing. I love it! Hopefully I can get caught up with all the rest of the pictures for the blog. Enjoy!
