Yes, I know it is almost May, but Christmas wasn't that long ago. I just had to share these pictures of little Charlotte. She is wearing a dress that I bought for Taylor when she was a baby. I wanted one with a hat because Taylor was completely bald. Plus, it is sooo cute. This little girl melts my heart and I love having a little girl to dress up. I missed that with the boys. Don't you just want to kiss those chubby cheeks. I do all the time and it is one of my favorite things in the world.
"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly." Ethel M Chocolate Factory
Christmas time in Vegas! Even though there isn't any snow, there are still lots of Christmas activities and decorations here in Vegas. When my parents were down visiting, we decided to go to the cactus gardens/chocolate factory in Henderson. It was pretty neat, lots of lights, and lots of people! We managed to get through the whole thing without loosing any of the kids, so I would say it was a success! The kids had a great time and it was nice to be outdoors enjoying Christmas stuff and not freezing our you know whats off. I think we will probably make visiting this place a family tradition.

Another thing I will miss!
I will miss Fall and our big beautiful tree in out backyard. Maybe I can miss this because I never had to rake the leaves in the Fall. I just miss a backyard in general. The home we moved into here is new and doesn't have a backyard yet. Although there is 1/2 acre to create an awesome backyard in! The tree in our yard was the reason we chose to build our home on the lot we did. It was awesome for shade and keeping us cool in the summer. I have faith that our new backyard will be just as much fun!
Goodbye Utah
These pictures are from a dinner we had with our friends before we left for Las Vegas. I am sad looking at them, because I miss them so much! We had a great time and we were so lucky to have so many awesome friends and neighbors! They were and still are so good to us! Some of them have already come to visit! I hope that we can keep in touch and visit often. We still own our home in Utah so that gives me lots of hope. I don't mean to say that we haven't met some really great people in Vegas, because we have. In fact I went to my first "girls night out" last weekend and had a ton of fun. I just miss having such great people so close around me. Don't forget about us!

A whole bunch of Sorensens
It seems like forever since we took these pictures last fall. I think I have shared them before, sorry if you have already seen them. As you can imagine getting family pictures done is always a little stressful for us. Its extremely hard to get all of the kids to look perfect, even for the two seconds it takes to snap a picture. We have learned to relax about it more and more. This time actually wasn't too bad. The photographer did an awesome job and we actually got all of these shots done in half an hour! I know! My kids and hubby are so cute and I am so blessed to be part of this beautiful family. The only one that didn't cooperate was Charlotte. She didn't want to smile, but we got some pretty good ones of her anyway. Enjoy!
Halloween time 2012
| Family Photos at our church Halloween Party. |
We had our last Halloween in Utah and it was a fun one! The kids ended up carving pumpkins three different times. First at my mom's house, then at our house and again down in Vegas at Tam and Ken's. At this time we were going back and forth to Vegas trying to get a house. It was stressful, so the holiday helped us forget about it a little bit. I love Halloween and the fall season itself. I was kind of sad thinking that it was our last fall in Utah, I love the wet, cooler weather. One of our favorite things to do is pop popcorn and watch "Hocus Pocus." The kids and I love that show! Every year at the kids school they have a parade so the kids can show off their costumes. It is lots of fun to see all the creative things that ambitious moms come up with. I am not that creative, but my kids always have fun dressing up anyway. Taylor was Merida from the movie "Brave." Ellie was pinkie pie, a my little pony. Joslyn was Jasmine. Noah dressed as spider man, Andrew was woody from "toy story", and Charlotte wore a onesie that said. "baby's first Halloween." We also had fun at our ward Halloween party. The weather was even nice for Trick or treating!
