Sisters

So, sometimes having the kids so close together is a challenge, okay all the time it is a challenge, but it does have some benefits. The kids are just such good friends. We all have so much fun playing together. They get along so well, most of the time. I am so glad they have each other. Even though it has been really hard, I am so glad the kids are so close! It really is a blessing. Here are some of the girls just being silly. Aren't they beautiful!! Noah is too, and I am sure it won't be long until he is playing dress up too.

Temple

We had a neat experience this Saturday. Justin, the kids and I were able to go through a temple open house in South Jordan. The temple is such a wonderful sacred place and I feel so blessed that my kids were able to go inside and see it. We also went with some friends of ours who aren't members of the church. It was neat to hear their questions and share some of the gospel with them. The kids did okay, it wasn't a long wait, but it was a lot of walking, especially up and down stairs. And of course Joslyn had to do it herself. The only part we didn't make it through was the sealing room. It was so beautiful and there was a couple explaining a little about sealings, but Joslyn decided she didn't want to hear it, so we left. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be and I feel blessed that we got to do it. It was so fun to explain to Taylor a little bit about what the temple is about. Ellie just wanted to see someone get married there, I told her we would have to see that another day. She asked, "Is Taylor getting married today, She could marry Noah. Are you getting married today mom?" We tried to get some pictures outside, but it was 9:30pm when we got out and the kids weren't really feeling like pictures, these are the best we got!

Disco Baby

A while back Justin's mom gave us this outfit that was Justin's when he was a baby. We forgot about it until now and Justin really wanted to take some pictures of Noah in it. The only problem, it is about half his size! I laughed so hard when Justin brought him out in it. He still is super cute, but so funny!!

Father's Day

Of course we love Justin, and of course we didn't forget about Father's day, I am just a little behind on my postings. I hope Justin had a good day, I worked the night before, so he actually helped me more than I helped him. That is why he is such a great dad. I love that he is never too busy to play with the kids. When he gets home from work, I know he is hungry and tired, but the first thing he does is play with the kids. I can tell he misses them during the day. He even plays house with the girls, which they love! He always makes our family his #1 priority, what a guy! This father's day we gave Justin some exercise equipment, I know exciting. We also made his favorite pot roast for dinner and had chocolate silk pie for dessert. It was fun! Here are some cute pics of Justin and the kids.

The littlest princess

So even though Joslyn is my tomboy, she is still very into princesses lately. We have several princess nightgowns and it is so hard to get her out of them. She twirls around and says "mom, I am sleeping beauty, I am a princess" Yesterday we set up our little pool to swim and she didn't even want to change from her nightgown to her swimming suit. She finally just went swimming in her nightgown, I was tired of arguing with her and very hot. I usually have to get her dressed for the day and then put her nightgown back on. It is a good thing we have a lot of them. Today she laid down for her nap and refused to take off her slippers, crown, and earrings. She is so funny!

All you need is love

Two weeks ago, we had the pleasure of visiting my Aunt and Uncle in Grass Valley, CA and celebrate the marriage of my cousin Chris. It was a lot of fun. Justin went to his parents to help them with some house repairs, so I took the kids with me. My family was so great to help and we had some fun times. Here are some pictures from the reception of Chris and Nicole. It was a lot of fun, eating and dancing. Ellie especially got into the dancing!

Grandpa and Noah

While I was in California, Justin was in Nevada, so my family really stepped in and helped me with the kids. My dad did a great job rocking Noah to sleep and my mom helped me in the middle of the night when Joslyn got sick. They did so much for me and helped me actually have some good times. Here are some pictures of Noah and my dad. Noah looks so peaceful in grandpa's arms.

My little teenager

A few days ago, Cortney straightened the girls hair and I couldn't believe how grown up it made them look! Especially my little Ellie Bellie. I took these pics of her and thought she looked 13! What do you think?

Where a kid can be a kid

I haven't been feeling very well lately, so Monday I went to my mom's so she could help me with the kids. It was a fun visit. For some crazy reason I thought it would be fun to take the kids to Chuck E. Cheese's for dinner. The kids did have a lot of fun and the pizza was pretty good too. Here are some of the highlights!

Ellie Bellie

These are some pics of Ellie that I took the other day. She wanted to have a photo shoot and these were the best ones that we got. She is so beautiful! She didn't want to smile, but I love them anyway.

Random thoughts and pictures

Hello again, I thought I would write some random info on our family from the weekend. It was a good one, Justin is ready to paint our food storage room! He worked so hard sanding it on Saturday. Okay I hate when people write about their weight loss on blogs, but I am so happy because I finally lost the 20 lbs I wanted to. I still want to lose 5 more, but I am not as worried about it. It was harder than ever to lose this time. I have been running lots and not eating sugar or anything else good most of the time, but its worth it. I am just happy to be in better shape, I ran 6 miles this morning and it felt great! At least I don't blog about how much money I saved at the grocery store with my coupons! (another one of my blog pet peeves) Ellie gave her first talk in primary this Sunday. I was helping her when, in the middle, she had a gas issue, thank goodness the kids didn't hear, but I couldn't stop laughing. She cracks me up! Noah thinks he wants to crawl, I told him he can't, he is way too little. Okay he is 8 months today, but I don't want him to grow up. Taylor is a teenager and I love being able to have real conversations with her. Joslyn wants to be potty trained, but I want to wait until after our trip this month. Well there, some random facts and now some random pics!

Who needs national geographic?

Our house seems to attract birds. Last year a mama bird made a nest on the wreath of our front door. This year some Robins made a home on our back deck light. It is right outside our kitchen door. It has been fun watching the mom sit on her eggs and finally last week they hatched. They have already grown so big. The girls love to watch the birds slurp up the huge worms that their mom brings them. I can't wait until we can hear them chirping!
