Tulips part one

This morning we went to the tulip festival at Thanksgiving point. Grandma Dee and her friend Bobbie decided to come along too. It was so beautiful and so much fun. The kids were so good and had a great time discovering things in the gardens. I was a little tired from running early this morning and then pushing the stroller, but it was so worth it. The gardens are so huge and there is so much to see.

This is Ellie in the "Secret Garden" It was beautiful and I found myself wishing I had my own secret garden to escape to and explore.

Taylor in the secret garden in front of the beautiful fountains.

This is the three girls with grandma Dee in the rose gardens. The roses haven't bloomed yet, but it was very nice anyway.

I love this picture! Taylor and Ellie in front of a cute tree on one of the paths, can you believe how pretty? The girls and the flowers!

This is in front of some of my favorite color of Tulips. Joslyn is making her pirate face in this one, I love it!

Look who is sitting up!

Noah has learned how to sit on his own, just shy of his 7 month birthday. I still put pillows around him, just in case, but he does a pretty good job by himself. Taylor was so proud of him, she wanted to be in the pictures. He also has two teeth that have broken through. He is growing up too fast!!!

Taylor's first hair cut, finally!

yes, most people post their baby's first haircut before they are one, but not us! Taylor is almost five and she just got her first hair cut on Saturday. And not even because it was too long, it was just dry on the ends. She was so excited and talked about it for weeks before it actually happened. I ended up taking her to the primrose retreat, a day spa here in Spanish Fork. I want to get her started early in the whole day spa experience so I have someone to go with. When we got there she got her hair washed and then cut, it only took about 5 minutes because she didn't have much to do. The nice lady put one of Taylor's curls in a little keepsake box so we could remember it. Then Taylor got a cupcake from the restaurant they have in the spa. We also took a few minutes to look around the little boutique they have for girls. It was fun to spend time with Taylor and do girlie stuff. The next day Taylor asked me to straighten her hair with the blow dryer, she loved the way it looked and has asked me to do it again, everyday. I told her that her curls where beautiful too, and that I was not going to do her hair everyday. I am sure she will get pretty good at doing it herself someday. I still remember getting up an hour early for school just to straighten my hair! Oh well, that is the price you pay with curly hair! Doesn't Taylor look so cute!!!

Taylor's trip to the fire station, and other news.

I stole these pictures off of Taylor's preschool teachers blog. I thought they were so cute. Taylor told me she had a great time at the fire station. She learned all abouts firemen and ambulances. Last night when we were driving home from the gym, a fire truck went by and when we pulled over she told me all about what was on a fire truck and about the hose and water, she knew so much! Taylor has been cracking me up lately. I have to write about the dream she had a few nights ago. She told me that she had a dream that Uncle Matt turned into a big bear and that he was growling at her. Then she said he spit all over the rooms and she was trying to do a puzzle, but he kept spitting all over. Then she finally hid in her room so he couldn't find her and she could do her puzzle. SO funny!! Lets see what else is going on around here. Noah has been cranky, I think he is finally getting teeth. He woke up several times last night and then decided that at 6:00 he was ready for the day. So, he is already back asleep. Ellie slept until 10:00 this morning. She is my only one who likes to sleep in. I actually love it, because she is in such a good mood when she wakes up, wouldn't you be? Joslyn pooped on the potty this morning as I read her favorite book over and over. She has it memorized and says "Brown bear, Brown bear, what do you see?" We just found the polar bear book this morning and she was thrilled. I am very sore from running on Wed and then doing a weight lifting class last night. But I am happy to say after all my hard work I am finally losing weight!! It has taken me so long this time, but 10 more pounds and I will be back to my before any baby and my mission weight. And then I will be able to fit into my clothes again! Justin is so so so busy at work lately, which is great! He took over all the customer work again, so he has a lot to do. In other good news I got my bank account statement a couple of days ago and it showed a purchase to Delta air lines. I was so excited, it has been so long since I bought a plane ticket to anywhere. It also showed a purchase of three nights in a hotel on the Vegas strip! What I am trying to say is that Justin and I planned a little getaway this August for our birthdays. And here is the kicker, we aren't taking our kids! Yes, I am leaving my kids with my parents. I know, will I really be able to do it? I hope so, Justin and I really need a little vacation. We have never left them more than overnight before, and I have never left Noah, so we will see how it goes. Well that is about it for now.

New addition to the family

Did I get your attention? NO silly, I am not pregnant! I am not that crazy, well I am, but I am not pregnant yet. Anyway the new addition to the family is our beautiful, really old, used piano. Justin and I have wanted one for a while, but we didn't want to spend a lot of money on it. So, I found this one on KSL and it was perfect. And to top it off the family selling it lived a couple of blocks away! So, moving it to our house wasn't a big deal. I say that even though I didn't help at all. So, it has already brought beautiful music into our home. I can't wait to play! Since it is old, I think I am going to paint it so it matches our decor a little better and we have to get it tuned. The girls love it and I think it will be really good for the family.
