The end of the day

Okay so I know that other moms can relate to this. Late afternoon is the hardest. The kids are getting cranky, you need to make dinner, you are exhausted and counting down the minutes until Dad gets home to help you out, does that sound familiar? Justin doesn't get home until 6:30, which is sometimes really hard. At times, I just laugh. By this point the girls are usually pretty dirty too. The other night was especially bad and I noticed my kids looked homeless. I had to take some pictures of them. I feel bad taking pictures of Joslyn when she is so tired, but she is still so cute! So here is a glimpse of what the kids look like at the end of the day!

Movie time with Grandpa

Well there is really no excuse for my lack of blog entries, just everyday life getting in the way of things I want to do, right? Things are actually going well and I am feeling better these days. I thought that Spring might be close, but then it snowed again yesterday, crushing my dreams. I can't wait for warmer weather, especially since I have been getting up at 5 to get myself to the gym. It is so much harder to do when it is cold outside. I am also ready to get rid of the colds. It seems like Joslyn always has a runny nose in the winter. Okay, enough complaining. When the weather was warm we were able to go to the park and walks, it was really nice. Last Sunday my parents drove down to have dinner with us. We wanted to see them before they left for Florida. They are lucky enough to be enjoying a week long getaway! I am so jealous! They are doing a lot of fun things, including Disney World! No fair! Anyway, we had a fun time when they were here. My Dad watched a movie with the girls and we played an exciting game of Balderdash. It was nice to see everyone, and I love it when I don't have to drive all the way to Bountiful! Here are some pictures. The girls love their Grandpa Andy!

My little baby girl is two!

okay so I know that this post is about almost a week late, but we have had some craziness around here lately. We have been battling strep, (Justin, Joslyn and I) and colds, (everyone else). Justin has been gone almost every night for the last few weeks and I just haven't had a lot of energy or free time. But, we did have a great day on Sunday when we celebrated Joslyn's two year birthday. We already had a little party for her at my moms on Valentine's Day, but we celebrated again on her actual birthday. We had some friends from the ward over and of course, Uncle Matt was there. We let Joslyn open her present from us in the morning. Then we had cake and ice cream at night. I don't know how I feel about her turning two. I am a little sad. She is my baby girl. She is such a joy in our lives. She is so funny and I love watching her tag around with her big sisters. She wants to do everything they do. I love when Joslyn and I spend time alone together. She never gets tired of me singing "five little ducks." She loves to read and look at books. She is so loving and cuddly. She gives out lots of kisses and has started to say "love you" I love her so much! I know the rest of the family feels the same way too. She is growing so much. I took her to the doctor yesterday and she was 36 inches tall and 28 lbs. Pretty big for her age. The doctor also informed me that she has a small heart murmur. This was surprising for me, no one had ever picked up on it before. He said she would probably grow out of it and that we would just keep an eye on it. I love my new doctor and I trust that she will be just fine. We have also started the potty training process. It is too soon to tell how it is going, but I hope she is as easy as her sisters. They both caught on pretty quickly right at two. It will be nice to only buy one set of diapers for a while. Well, I just want Joslyn to know how much we do love her and how lucky I feel to get to be her mommy! Happy Birthday!

more of Noah

So I know I have been posting a lot of Noah lately, but I had to include these because they were the pictures of me that I wanted to do for my project. Anyway I found this little outfit for Noah last week and had to try it on him. Of course the first thing he did was spit up on it, but its okay. Doesn't he look so adorable. So grown up.

Noah update

Noah finally made it to the doctor for his 4 month check up and it was a good one. The doctor and I were talking about how he was so sick as a newborn and how big and healthy he is now. Any failure to thrive issues he had in the begining are long gone. He now weighs 14 lbs 10 oz. It is about average, but, he is super tall, off the charts at 27 inches at four months! I guess that is why he has outgrown all of his pants. He is also starting some cereal and he continues to sleep really well at night. This is such a blessing since my naptime doesn't exsist anymore. He even got so tired this morning that while I went to get his clothes for the day, he fell asleep on the floor. He also loves to laugh. yesterday as I was watching the office and laughing out loud, he just started to join in. It was so funny!

Funny Girls

So the girls are having more fun than ever playing together. They are pretty much inseperable. They play princesses, polly pockets, ponies, Annie, house, all kinds of things, its great. And most of the time they let Joslyn play also. I am so glad they are so close and it is so fun to see them together. Of course they fight, but they make up pretty quickly. The other day Ellie came up from the basement with clothes stuffed in her pajamas. I laughed so hard! Taylor saw how funny Justin and I thought it was so of course she had to do it also. Ellie is a little clown, she is always making us laugh. I seriously have the cutest kids.
